The 4:30 Movie was a television program that aired weekday afternoons on WABC-TV in New York from 1968 to 1981. The program was mainly known for individual theme weeks devoted to theatrical feature films or made-for-TV movies starring a certain actor or actress, or to a particular genre, or to films that spawned sequels. The more popular episodes were "Monster Week," "Planet of the Apes Week" and "Vincent Price Week." Some films, such as Ben-Hur and How the West Was Won, were of such length that an entire week was devoted to running the whole movie. Other films that ran longer than the program's 90-minute length were often divided into two parts and shown over two days. Variations of The 4:30 Movie were aired on other stations around the United States, most notably those also owned and operated by WABC-TV's parent network, ABC.
News 4 New York is the brand identifier of WNBC-TV in New York City. It began using this for its news broadcasts in 1971 to 1972, again on Labor Day, September 1, 1980, and again in March 2008. Soost, and are judged on their vocal and dancing ability by the rapper Sido and the singer Loona. The grand prize for the four winners is a record deal with Warner Music as well as the opportunity to join the Pussycat Dolls on their next world tour. This is the format for the seventh series, focusing mostly on female dancers/singers, looking for fame in the music industry. The show opened on Thursday, August 28, 2008. Leonore Bartsch, who failed to qualify for the finale of the 2006 series of Popstars, was the first band member to be announced on 20 November 2008. The finale was held on 18 December, concluding with the announcement of the fourth band member of the group Queensberry.
